It's raining again.

News make depressing reads.
Can't help ponder upon the question in the GP paper.
Religion and violence,
does religion fan the flames of violence.
Can't help but seem to think so.
It's all over the damn news and in textbooks,
Ireland, Sri Lanka, Africa, Middle East, Thailand.
and that's not the end.
Which country's civilian's will be cowering in fear,
too afraid to even step out of the house next?
No wonder people would rather concern themselves
with more mundane issues like
how best to convince my parents to let me ride a bike

Sensitivity to human death has decreased,
a great deal in fact.
But its no surprise really.
Mortality is reported daily,
the only thing that differs is the numbers.
And 10 no longer seems like a big deal.
Not when numbers like 100 become commonplace.

What's the point of history
when no one ever seems to learn anyway.

So when will this end it goes on and on
Over and over and over again
